Wreck: Ruin, crash

Submersible: a small boat designed for exploration under water.

Expedition: a journey taken by a group of people with a particular purpose.

Belongings: a person's movable possessions

Grave: a hole dug in the ground to bury a dead body

Deck: a floorlike surface occupying one level of the hull

Lesson 4 – Vocabulary

Joe thinks that it’s all right to explore the wreck because it brings the story to life and helps you understand it. Tania doesn’t agree. Her great-great-grandfather died when the Titanic sank so the ship is his grave. Patrick thinks it’s OK because the objects can be put in a museum, kept in good condition and saved.

Patrick doesn’t think Adventure Tourism is necessary. He thinks it’s better to do a virtual trip on a computer.

Joe thinks it’s OK, so long as it doesn’t do any damage. Tania thinks it’s terrible.
