My grandmother told me a story about a woman called Salwa Al Hammad. Salwa was from Dubai and she worked in a bank there. She took the street cats home to look after them. Soon, she had too many cats, so she asked everyone she knew to give homes to the cats.

My grandmother said that being a good person means being kind to all living things. She herself went outside to the garden where she picked up two unhealthy cats, took them to the vet and gave them food and water. My grandmother is my heroine.
